It's been an exciting week.
Late last week Data Design Co_ had the pleasure of being featured in a few different Houston area publications. Starting with local maker community-builders, Houston Makes, we were then written about in Houstonia Magazine and Swamplot.com.
As a result of this exposure, we've sold out of the Limited Edition Houston coasters. There are potentially still one or two sets at TOMO Mags that are still available for purchase if you are really determined to get your hands on a set, but those are the last of the limited edition.
This may be the end of the limited edition sets, but the Houston coasters will live on in a slightly different form. Building on a year's worth of feedback and manufacturing lessons, the new Houston coasters will feature a new holder design that stacks the coasters horizontally as well as a slightly different form factor that reduces manufacturing waste. These coasters will also no longer be numbered. Critically, the coasters will retain the same eye-catching ability to display the growth of Houston.
We are grateful for all of you who have supported us in this journey thus far. The Limited Edition run of Houston Coasters was our first product and the original proof of concept for Data Design Co_ and they were met with an enthusiastic and invigorating response. We are excited to be able to still offer the Houston coasters in a new form while celebrating those of you who supported us first with something special.
We can't wait to share the next few things in our pipeline with you all, so be sure to stay tuned. In the meantime, you can find these new Houston coasters here.
